Contact: Charlie Ortiz, 841-2345

From Chair Dave Jorgensen: We will be having the Public Safety Committee meeting on Thursday, June 4, at 7pm at the West End Community Center. We will be discussing car break-ins and thefts, as well as increased drug activity at Elizabeth Park and the impact this activity is having on the surrounding sectors. Please attend if you are interested in any of these issues or if you have anything else to be addressed.

The purpose of the meeting is to get together to organize and brain storm ways to improve our community through beautification, such as planting of flowers & trees, placing of welcome signs at the neighborhood’s several entrances, improved cleaning efforts, code enforcement, etcetera. The main goal is to make the West End a more attractive and beautiful place to live, protect our investment and improve our community.

Please feel free to call me any time at 841-2345 or email me at charlie@segarralaw.com to confirm your attendance or if you have any questions or suggestions.

WECA Annual Meeting
Tuesday, June 9, 7 pm
United Methodist Church, 571 Farmington Avenue

The West End Civic Association’s Annual Meeting is on Tuesday, June 9, at 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 571 Farmington Avenue, (corner of Farmington Avenue and South Whitney Street).

This is your opportunity to help set priorities for WECA in the coming year. What should we be working on? Public Safety? Education? Housing? Traffic? Business Development?

We need your input.

Also at the meeting, you will elect officers and the sectors will elect their sector representatives. It is important that residents in each of our five sectors attend to elect their representatives. We’ll break into separate sector meetings for this election, and for discussion about what is happening in your sector.

If there is one WECA meeting a year to attend, this is the one.
We need your support and your voice.
We hope to see you on June 9.
